Prefers fertile well drained soil. Sow direct in the garden after all frost are gone. Sorry we are unable to send to WA & TAS.
Direct seed corn in rows 90-120 cm apart and plant the kernels 20 cm apart and 2.5 cm deep. The seeds take 4-21 days to germinate. Thin your stalks to 20 cm apart as they grow and leave ears on the stalk until silks turn brown or there is a danger of frost. The ears should mature in 100 days. Corn should be planted in blocks rather than in long rows to maximize pollination. Consider planting a corner of your garden with 3-6 rows of corn next to each other rather than one long row.
