Achillea millefolium ‘Proa’
BRIDAL WHITE YARROW
Achillea millefolium ‘Proa’ is “forget-about-it” easy, even in hard conditions.
This new and select Achillea glistens with pristine white heads over spring, summer and autumn.
And it has longer, more prolific blooming than older varieties.
‘Proa’ provides superb cut flowers, as well as a sparkling garden display for month after month.
Plant Achillea millefolium ‘Proa’ in Full Sun to Part Shade (as long as the shaded area is not damp). Where you will find it is hardy in heat, dry, frost, humidity, and poor soil.
‘Proa’ is a very water-wise choice for gardeners with hot and dry conditions. But it also tolerates a degree of humidity in the atmosphere if necessary.
Achillea millefolium ‘Proa’ is a hardy evergreen perennial. And this new release forms neat, dense clumps of low foliage and abundant flowering stems. So ‘Proa’ is not invasive, unlike some of the older Achillea varieties. The compact clumps are 60-75cm. high when in bloom, and approximately 30cm. wide.
SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Seeds can be successfully sown at any time of year.
You can simply scatter the seeds in the garden / or sow seeds in punnets indoors for early plants.
INDOOR SOWING: Scatter the seeds on the surface of good quality potting mix and press gently. Do not cover. Seeds need light to germinate.
Place punnet in a well lit place. Temperatures of 18-25C best for rapid germination, then seedlings emerge in approximately 5-10 days.
Minimum 300 seeds per packet approximately.
(We aim to make our seed counts on the generous side – so you will receive at least 300 seeds)
