Achillea mondpagoda, Moon Pagoda Yarrow: This compact, upright yarrow cultivar is noted for its creamy yellowish-white flowers that bloom during the summer months. Flowers appear in dense, flattened, compound corymbs. If regularly deadheaded many more flowers are produced. Makes a lovely cut flower. The deeply dissected, fern-like foliage is gray-green and is aromatic when crushed. Withstands heat, dry and frost. Not fussy on soil type. Perfect for Australian gardens. 60cm H x 60cm W.
Sow Achillea seed onto surface of moist well-drained good quality seed raising mix. Cover with a light sprinkling of of mix or vermiculite. Light helps germination. Place in a propagator or place somewhere warm, 15-20°C. Water from the base of tray only. Keep moist but not wet. Germination takes 5-10 days. If Seed does not germinate place in polythene bag in fridge for 4 weeks at 4 degrees C. Move back to warmth for germination. When seedlings have 2 true leaves prick out to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatize and plant out once danger of frost has passed .
