EASTERN BLUE STARS
Clusters of soft blue stars over spring and summer. Vivid foliage colours in autumn. Easily grown, upright graceful perennial clump. Rounded 60cm. Full Sun to Part Shade. Hardy in heat, dry, frost and range of soils, including clay.
Water-wise, dry hardy perennial once established. Low maintenance. Attracts pollinators.
Sow any time indoors in punnets, or scatter directly in garden in autumn and winter.
Place seeds in warm water at approx. 20C. Leave soak for 24 hours before sowing.
Sow on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Press gently into surface. Do not cover with mix.
Leave in 13-20C approx. for 3 weeks, then wrap punnet in cling-wrap and leave in fridge (not freezer) for 3 weeks. Return to 13-20C for germination. Seedlings begin emerging in approx. 30 days. Do not discard punnet as seeds will continue to germinate.
