Aster tongolensis ‘Watburg Star’ –
Aster come in varying shades of light violet-blue, with tufted gold centres. They bloom mid-summer to late autumn. Easy to grow, long-lived & very showy, it makes great cut flowers & is good for rock gardens, edging and is suitable for containers.
Start Aster tongolensis ‘Watburg Star’ seeds indoors in late winter. Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs before pricking out.
