BLUE FALSE INDIGO
Rich, deep, vivid blue pea blooms in summer, over blue-grey foliage in a rounded bush. Sun. Easy to grow & low maintenance. Tough, hardy, perennial. Drought resistant. Water saving. Very frost hardy. 1m H x 1m W.
Sow any time indoors in punnets / or scatter directly in garden in autumn, winter or early spring.
Indoors: Scarify seeds by gently rubbing between sheets of fine sandpaper. Then soak seeds in warm water – leave for 24 hours. Sow on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Cover seeds with mix / vermiculate / fine grit to depth same as seed diameter, approx. 5mm. Place in well-lit position. Keep moist, at approx. 20-23C. Seedlings emerge in approx. 14-30 days.
If shy to germinate – cling wrap moist, sown punnet & place in fridge (not freezer) for 6 weeks. Then remove, unwrap & place in well-lit position. Keep moist, at approx. 20-23C.
