BALM OF GILEAD
A tough old garden favourite, an ancient herbal medicine, and used for aromatic tea and pot-pourri. Plant is beautifully scented of cedar. Thrives in a wide range of soils from sandy to clay. ½ Shade to Sun – prefers a little shelter. Tough, easy, low maintenance. Tolerates heat and humidity well. Thrives even in dryer gardens. SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Can be sown at any time of year. Scatter in garden or sow in punnets indoors for early plants.
Scatter on surface of good quality potting mix. Lightly cover to same depth as diameter of the seed. Keep moist. 15C is best for rapid germination, then seedlings emerge in approx. 14-21 days.
