Double flowers of a rich deep maroon colour on 1m. stems. One of the best tall, old fashioned favourite cottage Cornflowers. Superb cut flower – cut and come again. Full Sun, Partial Shade. H: 50cm – 80cm W: 20cm – 40cm approx.
SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Indoors: Sow onto the surface of moist well-drained seed raising mixture. Just lightly cover seed with fine sprinkling of mix – Light is needed for seed germination. 15-20°C optimum temperature if using a heat mat. Germination takes 14-21 days. Once germinated place in a well aired and lit area. Or sow directly into the garden in spring.
Plant in the garden:
Easy to grow annual. Prefers a well-drained soil in Full Sun. Prefer being crowded. Water when required but allow soil to dry out in between watering’s. Not fussy about soil. Will self-sow in the garden.
