Tiny, indigo blue flowers are massed in clusters on bushy plants. These fast growing plants will put on a show from early spring to early summer. Cut off the seed heads, or it will self seed enthusiastically. This variety resists mildew and will bloom even in partial shade.
SEED SOWING ADVICE:
Direct sow Chinese Forget-Me-not seeds in early spring after the last frost. Sow 5mm below the surface and keep the soil consistently moist until germination, which should occur in 7-10 days. Cynoglossum amabile can be autumn planted in regions with warm winters. To start the seed indoors, plant it in a flat or in individual peat pots 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring. Keep the soil consistently moist and at a temperature of 20 C until germination. Transplant after the last frost.
