Digitalis trojana HELEN OF TROY FOXGLOVE, A rarity from Turkey growing to 75cm, with flowers of pale amber, throats of gold with rust veining, and a conspicuous creamy-white lip in summer. This long bloomer is attractive to bees and like most foxgloves, it will reseed, maintaining a presence in your garden. H: 75cm W: 30cm – 45cm. Full Sunm Partial Shade.
Sow seeds on surface of good quality compost or seed raising mix at any time. Do not cover with compost as seed requires light to germinate. Place in warm place or propagator and cover with a plastic lid. We recommend germinating at 15-20 degrees C keep moist at all times, but do not saturate. Germination in 14 to 30 days. Some seed may wait till spring to germinate naturally. Please do not discard.
PLANT IN THE GARDEN-
Thrive in full sun to partial shade to full shade, depending on the summer heat and in the hottest areas prefer more midday and afternoon shade for optimum performance. Foxglove plants grow best in rich, well draining soil.
