SEED SOWING ADVICE:
Sow seeds of Euphorbia myrsinites at any time of year in punnets indoors / or scatter in the garden in spring & summer.
Indoors: First soak the seeds in warm water and leave to stand overnight in the cooling water.
Then sow the seeds in a punnet on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then barely cover seeds with vermiculite or sieved mix.
Because these seeds need light to germinate.
Now thoroughly moisten the punnet by standing in a shallow water bath, and allowing the moisture to percolate to the surface of the mix from below.
Then place the moist punnet in a warm, well-lit position (not in any direct sunlight).
Temperatures 20-26C approx. are best for rapid and optimum germination.
So use a heat mat if you have one, because these seeds enjoy heat.
Although a warm window sill (out of direct sunshine) can also do the job.
And continue to keep moist by misting the surface from a spray water bottle.
Covering the punnet with a clear plastic or glass lid can also help to maintain consistent moisture and prevent drying out.
Remove as soon a seedlings begin to sprout.
Seedlings emerge in 14-21 days.
But do not discard punnet too quickly.
Because it is normal that some seeds may come later.
