Geranium palmatum

Out of stock

Common Name: Geranium anemonifolium, Anemone Leaf Cranesbill

Seed Count: 20
Family:  Hardy Perennial

Geranium palmatum -Thick green flower stalks with red hairs hold hundreds of exotic, pretty pink flowers to form a dome above deeply incised shiny, bright green, frond like foliage. Growth looks prehistoric and a great conversation piece. Somewhat similar to that of G. maderense. Ideal for filling in dry shade areas and perfect for  brightening a normally dreary spot.  Flowers in its second year but is a true perennial. 90cm x 60cm.

Sowing Advise

Sow Geranium palmatum seeds in good quality compost or seed raising mix at anytime . Lightly cover with fine river sand or compost to their own depth. Place in a propagator or cover with a plastic lid in a warm place. We recommend germinating at 15-20 degrees C. Keep moist at all times, but do not saturate. Germination can be irregular and may not occur until spring. Pot on seedlings to harden off and mature before finally planting out in the garden.
