SEED SOWING ADVICE:

Sow in a punnet indoors at any time, whenever suitable temperatures can be provided (15-20°C).
OR
Sow in the garden late winter-early spring.

Sow indoors for optimum germination: First sow the seeds in a punnet on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then press the seeds gently to the surface to ensure good contact.
Now barely cover with sieved mix / grit/sand/vermiculite.

Continue to keep the punnet consistently moist for 2-4 weeks.
By misting from a spray water bottle.
Place in a warm, well-lit position (but not in any direct sunlight as this will dry out the seeds and prevent germination).
Covering the punnet with a clear plastic cover or plastic bag will help to maintain necessary consistent moisture.

Temperatures of 15-20°C are recommended for best results for this pre-conditioning.

Then wrap the moist, sown punnet in cling wrap & place in fridge (not freezer) for 4-6 weeks.

Finally remove from fridge, unwrap punnet & return to 15-20°C place.
Continue to keep consistently moist.
Make sure to remove the clear cover as soon as sprouting starts.

Most seedlings should emerge in approx. 30 to 90 days. But do not discard punnet, as some seedlings may come later.

Seed Count: 5 seeds per pack approx.
(Seed of this uncommon variety is scarce, but we always aim to exceed the stated seed count, and give a generous serve).
