Geranium pyreniacum Summer Sky – A lovely species from Greece.  Attractive velvety, scalloped leaves form a neat clump that is useful as a ground cover for a sunny to part shady position.  From plump hairy, little buds open the magnificent deep violet blue flowers which appear in spring summer. Closely related to G. ibericum it is equally as tough. Wonderful for making a border or edging.Very dry and frost hardy. A little gem in our garden. 40cm x 40cm.

Geranium pyreniacum Summer Sky – The deeply notched petals of this pretty pinkish mauve form almost resembles pink Gypsophila. The endless spray of 1.5cm pinkish mauve flowers are produced from spring to autumn. Ideal for hot spots in the garden and self seeds freely. Easy for under planting roses. Semi evergreen foliage resembling scalloped water lily leaves make permanent neat mounds.  Enjoys full sun, humus rich well drained soil.   50cm x 45cm.

Sowing Advise

Sow Geranium pyreniacum Summer Sky seeds in good quality compost or seed raising mix at anytime. Lightly cover with fine river sand or compost to their own depth. Place in a propagator or cover with a plastic lid in a warm place. We recommend germinating at 15-20 degrees C keep moist at all times, but do not saturate. Usually germinates in 30 to 90 days.  Pot on seedlings to harden off and mature before finally planting out in the garden.
