Gypsophila paniculata ‘Snowflake’ is the darling of florists.

This very popular, easily grown perennial has a myriad of star like, double white flowers.
Held on fine, wiry, branching stems.
So creating clouds of the finest white in both the garden and vase.

Finest of fine Baby’s Breath

Gypsophila paniculata ‘Snowflake’ is the original, old favourite, finest of fine, Baby’s Breath.

Excellent in garden & vase

But Gypsophila is also an excellent garden plant.
And it looks wonderful planted amongst roses and perennials, where the ‘Gyp’ billows in between for a soft, cloudy, romantic effect.

Easy garden grower

Gypsophila paniculata ‘Snowflake’ grows happily in the same conditions as roses, so no wonder they are such friendly neighbours.
And the ‘Gyp’ is so fine and whispy in flower, that it does not interfere with the health and air flow around the roses.
Plus the foliage stays as a low, groundcover mat when the plant is not in flower.

Low maintenance & hardy

Dear old Baby’s Breath is low maintenance and easy to grow.
It will thrive in Full Sun, loves lime, and is a water-wise beauty.
With tolerance to dry periods once established.

Cut & come again

It is no hardship to cut clouds of flowers by shearing the stems back to ground level.
The more you cut the more your ‘Gyp’ will repeat with flowers.
Plant Tip: Please note that plants of Gypsophila paniculata ‘Snowflake’ grown from seed will vary in the doubleness of their flowers. So you are likely to get some very double, some semi-double, and some single. So they are very useful lot in the garden and the vase.

Temperatures of 15-20°C are best for optimum and rapid germination.

And keep moist at all times by misting from a spray water bottle, but do not saturate.

Seeds germinate in 5-10 days.
