Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra ‘Bleeding Hearts’
BLEEDING HEARTS OXEYE
A new Oxeye Daisy with dark foliage, strong black stems, & contrasting vivid fire red daisies that sizzle against the foliage colour.
Heliosis helianthoides var scabra is a very worthwhile new addition to the summer and autumn garden, and a whole new colour breakthrough.
Personally I would grow it for the foliage alone, but then when it flowers, it is a show stopper.
So well worth giving pride of place to in a decorative pot.
Bleeding Hearts also provides excellent cut flowers.
Thankfully it is long and constant constant blooming through summer and autumn.
Plant it in Full Sun.
Copes in poorer soil & clay Frost hardy. Water-wise.
Bushy strong upright perennial.
