Sowing Advice-
Peony seed can be sown at any time in  good quality seed raising mix and cover with  mix or grit to 1 cm deep. Keep moist in a cold spot outside as Paeonia mlokosewitschii are very slow to germinate, sometimes taking up to two years to appear. Do not use artificial heat as this may kill them. In the first year the seeding just makes an underground root and shoots appearing above ground in the second year. Grow on seedlings in a 75mm pot and plant out in good garden soil the following winter. please do not discard tray until seedlings appear.
