Sow in autumn, winter & spring in punnets indoors / or scatter in the garden in early spring.
Sow indoors for early plants: Sow the seed in a punnet on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then barely cover the seed with mix / vermiculite / fine sandy grit.
As light aids germination.
Now place the punnet in a well-lit position (not in any direct sunlight).
Continue to keep the sown punnet consistently moist, but not wet.
Temperatures of 13-16C approx. are best for rapid and optimum germination.
Most seedlings emerge in approx. 14-21 days.
However if the seeds are shy to emerge.
Then wrap the punnet in cling wrap and place in the fridge (not freezer) for 3 weeks.
After a minimum of 3 weeks, unwrap the punnet and return to a well-lit position at 13-16C.
