Consolida regalis ‘Blue Cloud’ BLUE CLOUD LARKSPUR

$5.00 AUD

In stock

Consolida regalis Blue Cloud doesn’t shoot up a single spike like most larkspurs. Instead it sends flocks of bushy 5-petaled rich blue ½” florets on wispy foliage, which en masse give the effect of clouds. Its tiny seed pods are equally decorative. Will self-sow vigorously.  Poisonous if eaten. H: 60cm W: 30cm approx. Full Sun, Partial Shade.

Sowing Advice-
Consolida regalis ‘Blue Cloud’ Seedlings do not transplant well, so it is best sown directly in spring outside into prepared soil. The fine seeds should germinate on the surface of soil.  14-21 days for germination. You may plant in a greenhouse, late summer/autumn for the following year. If germination does not occur try cold stratification for 2 weeks. Move to -4-+4°C for 2-4 weeks then return to warmth. Heat is not required for germination, in fact high temperatures can cause dormancy.
