Anthericum ramosum, Ornithogalum ramosum: Originally collected for the Graz Botanical Garden in Slovenia, on Mount Caven, 1100 m, 1993 . This stunning flower is distinguished from its relative Anthericum lilago by its branched flower spikes, producing many more star like flowers. Each flower spike reaches up to 60 cm long and up to 50 cm across, giving an incredible WOW factor. Each star like bloom is up to 2 cm across and the purity of the white is only broken by the chrome yellow anthers. The grass like leaves are up to 50 cm long. Enjoys an open sunny position in well drained humus rich soil. 60 cm H x 50 cm W.
Artificial heat is not needed. Sow Anthericum seed at any time covering with seed raising mix or river sand to 5mm deep. Keep the seed pot in a cool well-lit spot
outdoors. Be patient as this species will only germinate in spring after the winter chill. Freezing in a moist seed tray for 6 weeks may accelerate the germination process. Grow on individual seedlings in small pots outdoors until they are of sufficient size to be planted out. Keep moist at all times.
