Pretty sky blue thimbles are held on wiry stems up to 60cm above the carpeting dark green foliage. Very dry hardy, once established. We have it growing in along the paths of our maze, where it performs with little attention. Flowers are in spring summer. Enjoys full sun or part shade, well drained soil. 60cm x 45cm.
Sow seeds on surface of good quality compost or seed raising mix at any time . Cover seed tray with piece of glass or cover with plastic and place tray on temperature of 18-20degrees C. Keep moist at all times, but do not saturate. Germination should occur in 14-28 days. Once seeds have germinated air should be admitted gradually otherwise dampening off may occur. Pot on seedlings once two sets of leaves appear to harden off and mature before finally planting out in the garden after last frost.
