Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ is recently developed and deliciously, peachily different to any other Snappies.

Blends of delicious peach shades

Because the flowers are not just a single colour throughout, but instead blend delicious peach, apricot and sunset colours within each flower, and up each stem from tip to toe too. 

Large peachy double Snappies packed on multiple stems

The flowers are large doubles with frilly edges, and packed closely together up long, much branched stems.
So ‘Doubleshot Peach’ packs more flowers onto each stem then most other Snappies can.
And with it’s multitude of branching stems, delivers an eye-stunning flounce of frilly flowers.

Superb cut flowers for floristry & flower farmers

Stems of Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ are perfect in floristry bouquets or in arrangements. And especially with that stylish colouring and frilly, flouncy look.
They have excellent vase life.
‘Doubleshot Peach’ has been carefully bred for commercial farming, as it has a very long and continuous production of flower stems for harvesting right through summer and autumn up to the first frosts.

Tolerant of both heat & cold

And also for winter flower production in sub-tropical areas. So they are able to produce under shorter day length conditions.
The flower stems have also been bred to be strong and self supporting.
Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ is designed to be both heat and cold tolerant.

Wonderful garden or pot displays

Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ has also been designed for outstanding garden display.
It blooms long and hard in Full Sun, but will also perform creditably in Partly Shaded positions.
While the stout stems are toughly weatherproof.
‘Doubleshot Peach is a stunner for pot display because of the multitude of flowers over a very long period.

Super quick & easy from seed to flower

Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ is usually comes to flower in just 75-80 days from sowing the seed.

Edible flowers

Snapdragon flowers are deliciously edible and make a sweet treat in salads, stir fries, fruit salads, drinks and as garnish.
So plant some in your veggie patch for both nibbling and cutting for vases.

Deer & rabbit resistant

Happily, Snapdragons are not high on the menu list for rabbits and deer, who usually pass them by for fodder they find tastier.

Snappies can go on from year to year

Antirrhinum majus is actually a short lived perennial and will go on blooming for several years if left in the garden over winter.
But because they are so quick and easy to raise from seed, and fast to bring to flower from seed, they are often grown as annual.
Personally I leave mine in the garden from year to year instead, and just trim them back to reshoot each spring.

45-50cm High of peachy double blooms on strong, much branched stems x 30-35cm Wide of neat, deep green foliage.

SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Suitable for beginners & gardening with kids

Sow Antirrhinum majus ‘Doubleshot Peach’ at any time indoors in a punnet for an early start with flowers. Or scatter directly in garden in winter and spring.

Sow indoors for quick & early plants: First sow the seeds on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then pat the surface lightly to ensure good contact of seeds to the mix, but do not cover.
Because these seeds need light to germinate.

Now thoroughly moisten the sown punnet by standing it in a shallow water bath and allow the moisture to percolate to the surface of the mix from below.

Then place it in a warm, well lit position (not in direct sunlight).

Because temperatures of 15-25C are best for optimum and rapid germination.
You can also use a heat mat if you have one.
Though it is not essential as these seeds are willing germinators.

Then continue to keep moist by misting from a spray water bottle.

Seeds germinate in approx. 10-15 days.

Seed Count: 10 seeds approx. per pack.
(Seeds of this new release are scarce but we always aim to exceed the stated seed count and give a generous serve).
