Antirrhinum majus ‘Twinny Bronze Shades’
SHADES OF BRONZE SNAPDRAGONS

Antirrhinum majus ‘Twinny Bronze Shades’ is unique amongst Snapdragons.

Double butterflies kissed by the setting sun

Because each stem displays unique blends of bronze, rose, pink and sunset shades playing across the dense packed flowers.
With the lovely blooms are like a flock of double, frilly butterflies kissed by the setting sun.

Tough little go-er in wind & heat

However Antirrhinum majus ‘Twinny Bronze Shades’ is a tough little go-er, despite the delicate good looks.
Because the flower spires are compact, exceptionally weather hardy and windproof as well as heat resistant.
Happily they are not high on the menu list for rabbits and deer, who usually pass them by for tastier fodder.

Outstanding commercial cut flowers

‘Twinny Bronze Shades’ is outstanding for commercial quality cut flowers in a stylish colour.

Gorgeous in a pot

Plant Antirrhinum majus ‘Twinny Bronze Shades’ in Sun to Part Shade.
It suits a wide range of soils, including sandy, as long as the position is well drained.
And they are particularly lovely in a container or decorative pot with their gorgeous colouring, compact growth and exceptionally long blooming season.

Quick & easy to raise from seed & fast to bring to bloom

Antirrhinum majus is actually a short lived perennial and will go on blooming for several years if left in the garden over winter.
But they are so quick and easy to raise from seed, and fast to bring to flower from seed, that they are often grown as annual.

45cm High x 20cm Wide.

SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Suitable for beginners & gardening with kids

Sow any time indoors in a punnet for an early start with flowers, or scatter directly in garden in winter and spring.

Indoors for quick & early plants: First sow the seeds on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then pat the surface lightly to ensure good contact of seeds to the mix, but do not cover.
Because these seeds need light to germinate.

Now thoroughly moisten the sown punnet by standing it in a shallow water bath and allowing the moisture to percolate to the surface of the mix from below.

Then place it in a warm, well lit position (not in direct sunlight).

Temperatures of 15-25C are best for optimum and rapid germination.
You can use a heat mat if you have one.
Though it is not essential as these seeds are willing germinators.

Continue to keep moist by misting from a spray water bottle.

Seeds germinate in approx. 10-15 days.

Seed Count: 20 seeds approx. per pack. (Seeds of this new release are scarce)
