Aquilegia caerulea ‘Kristall’
WHITE CRYSTAL COLUMBINE
Very large pure white flowers with long spurs, and sweet scent. Blooms prolifically from spring into summer. Long blooming. Hardy, evergreen perennial clump. Frost and heat hardy. Tolerates some dry once established. Shade to ½ Shade to Sun. Approx. 80cm H x 30cm W.
SEED SOWING ADVICE:
Sow any time indoors in punnets, or scatter directly in garden in autumn and winter.
Aquilegias germinate easily in the garden after winter chilling.
Indoors: Sow on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Seeds need light to germinate, so barely cover with mix.
Keep moist, at 15- 20C. Seeds may germinate in 10-30 days if not dormant.
If no germination in 4 weeks, cling-wrap moist, sown punnet and keep in fridge for 4-6 weeks. Return to well-lit position at 15-20C. Seedlings may germinate in 10 days. Do not discard punnet as seeds will continue to germinate for up to 30-90 days.
