PICOTEE CLOVE PINKS

Double, old-fashioned garden Carnations, but each with different striped and picotee edged blooms and the lovely scent that makes Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Picotee Mix’ an old time, all time garden favourite.

Old time all time garden favourite

These old fashioned Picotee Clove Pinks were a favourite with my Grandmother, and they still are with me today.
Because nothing can replace that intense clove scent, the abundant cut flowers, and those lovely colours and lace markings.

Easy to grow & quick from seed

Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Picotee Mix’ plants are frost hardy and very water wise. My Grandmother had no water to squander. So the plants she loved had to be able to get on with the job with little assistance.
Dianthus caryophyllus enjoy Full Sun, plenty of lime, well-drained soil and they thrive if spoiled with some compost and mulch.
So you can grow Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Picotee Mix’ anywhere you can grow roses, and they look and smell wonderful together.

Dianthus caryophyllus makes a hardy evergreen perennial clump.
With the foliage forming an attractive grey-green cushion that remains decorative all year.
So they are the perfect garden edging plant, or container plants, and a pleasure anywhere you walk frequently to drink in that intoxicating scent and enjoy their laced and splashed colours.
