Primula florindae is the most fragrant of them all the primula with a wonderful nutmeg scent. Tall, upright stems appear in summer, with a ball-like cluster of dangling bells in bright yellow but very occasionally red or orange. Excellent for cutting. Appreciates a site that remains evenly moist all season. Tolerates full sun in cool-summer regions. Terrific at the waterside, or in a wet, boggy spot. Partial Sun, Woodland. H: 45cm W: 90cm approx.
Sowing Advice-
Primula florindae see may be sown at any time onto a quality seed raising mix, barley cover seed so thst 50% is still visible. Best germination temperature is between 10-15 degrees C. Temperature exceeding 15 degrees may prevent germination , and above 20 degrees C expect very little germination as most seeds go dormant as a protective measure. Germination takes between 3-6 weeks. Keep seedlings in a cool well lit location to grow on.
