Scarlet-red stars on upright stems in summer & autumn. Sun to Part Shade. Hardy in frost, heat & dry. Drought resistant. Copes with humidity. Water saving. Suits poorer soils, including sandy. Evergreen perennial. 90cm H x 60cm W.
SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Sow at any time of year in punnets indoors / or scatter in garden in autumn, winter or early spring.
Indoors: Sow in punnets on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Press gently. Barely cover with mix/ sand/grit. Need light to germinate. Keep moist at 18-21°C approx. Seedlings emerge in approx. 7-21 days.
If shy to germinate – Cling-wrap moist sown punnet. Place in fridge (not freezer) for 4-6 weeks. Then remove, unwrap & return to well-lit position at 18-21°C. Keep moist.
