Rehmannia elata ‘Rufus’ CHINESE FOXGLOVE –
In late spring/summer produces a spike of large rose coloured flowers with creamy-white, maroon-spotted throats, that stand approximately 60cm tall. Enjoys full sun to part shade in well drained hummus rich soil. Needs some protection from frost.
Sowing Advice-
Rehmannia elata ‘Rufus’ CHINESE FOXGLOVE seeds may be sown at any time onto good quality seed raising mix. Just cover with fine grit or seed raising mix. Keep moist but well drained in a well lit area. Ideal temperature is 15-20 degrees C. Sowing in late winter is ideal as natural germiantion will occur as the temperatures war up. Germination takes around 3-5 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on in poly house until all danger of frost has passed.
